AGREED! My RUNWAY pal Jim and I were having shouting matches after Santino's win that week. He damn near gave up on the show, but I convinced him to keep with it...I told him that even if the show was keeping Santino around for ratings each week, that it would still be awesome as hell to see him lose his ass at Olympus Fashion Week. At least TOP CHEF had no problem at all ousting ASSHOLE Ken in the first week...though they did keep bitch Tiffani around til the end (passing on my favorite, LeAnn)
I saw the third cycle of TOP MODEL and havent seen any since. I actually like the show, but I am always afraid of burnind out on them. I didnt watch IDOL this year for the same reason. I will watch AI next year, though. But for me, the best will always be PROJECT RUNWAY. "Make it work", "Where's Andre'?", "Carry on" ;-)
I think AMERICAS NEXT MALE MODEL would be great..it would also be fun to have one of the design challenges on RUNWAY be design something for male fashion and have male models strut their stuff.
Thats why I love PROJECT RUNWAY..its such guilty pleasure seeing these designers' ideas come to life on the runway and then be judged. I ABSOLUTELY love Season 1's Austin Scarlett's cornhusk dress.
